Pottery Painting Packs

Are the underglaze paints safe for children to use?

The underglaze paints provided are non-toxic and safe for children, although they should not be ingested or inhaled and we encourage hand washing after use. Please also wear an apron or clothes that you don't mind getting mucky!

How long will it take to get my pot back?

Once your pot has been collected, it will normally take around 2 weeks to glaze and fire as we need make sure that the kiln is packed with lots of pots at a time to ensure that the heat is evenly distributed, and to save electricity.

Will my pot be food safe?

Yes! The glaze that we use to finish your pots is waterproof, lead free and food safe. We do recommend that they are washed with warm soapy water though rather than being cleaned in the dishwasher.

What if I want my pot to be a gift?

Once your pot has been decorated, fired and glazed, we can gift wrap it and deliver within the UK for an additional £5. Please get in touch to arrange this!

What happens once I have painted my pot?

Once you have created your masterpiece, please contact us to arrange collection and your pot will be whisked away to be dipped into a clear glaze and fired slowly in the kiln up to 1230 degrees Celsius. We will then either deliver your pot back to you or we can post it out as a gift.

Returning the paint pots

To minimise waste, we use compostable packaging and reusable aluminium paint pots. If you return these (with or without leftover paint) when we collect your pot from you, you’ll receive a £3 voucher to use towards your next order or to give to a friend!
